The South-West Research Institute of Livestock and Crop Production, located in the southern region of the country, is engaged in scientific support for the development of livestock and crop production in the southwestern region of our republic, which includes Aktyubinskaya, Atyrauskaya, Kyzylorda, Mangistau and Turkestan regions. The area of the territory is 119409.6 km, or 43.8% of the total indicator of the republic, the population – 5397.4 thousand people, or 30.1%, respectively. Gross livestock production in the region is 276,868.5 million tenge or 25% of the country’s total, and in crop production, respectively, 20,501.5 million tenge or 65.7%.

The development strategy for 2017-2021 is a conceptual document defining the perspective of forming an institution focused on the effective development of the agricultural sector of our economy.
The Institute’s mission is to create competitive livestock and crop industries by generating and extension new knowledge and technologies for the southwestern region of Kazakhstan.
Goals: Developing competitive scientific products that accelerate scientific and technological progress and production in the agricultural sector of the southwestern region of Kazakhstan.
Tasks: Develop a research base by organizing various technology platforms to generate new knowledge;
-Scientific support, testing and large-scale adoption of competitive technologies in experimental industries and in industrial settings;
-Transfer of advanced perspective technologies and adaption them with the development of their own technology platforms.
